Its unique feedback circuitry generates distinct harmonic energy that fills the empty spaces around your sound source and creates an elusive creamy thickness and weight. Combined with its musical & forgiving compression, independent limiter, and a plethora of controls, this plugin can shape the tone of any source and place it in front of your mix.

History
The 33609 Diode-Bridge is the original studio piece that inspired us to create our own Diode 609. First introduced in 1985, it was based on circuitry from the legendary 2254 and 2253 compressors, found in the iconic British 80-series consoles from the 70s which played an essential part in shaping the classic longing Neve sound. The 33609 was the answer to a growing demand for a stereo-rack version of the 2254 and since its release, it has been strapped to the mix-bus of hit-making studios around the globe.
With Diode 609 we have carefully preserved all features which made the 33609 a legend but we also loaded it with a few important extras. The plugin features a brand-new HP filter with a dedicated preview button that allows you to hear the high-passed signal. We also added a 200ms Recovery setting and a 10:1 Ratio.
