Combining a tube preamp stage, a musical EQ, and a vari-mu compressor in a single unit, DRM-60 allows for complete tone shaping—from subtle coloration to full-on analog saturation. The plugin’s carefully tuned compression curve makes it ideal for everything from gentle leveling on vocals to tight punch on drums and bass.

Modeled after a high-end British analog channel strip, DRM-60 preserves the spirit of the original while expanding its flexibility with digital control and precision.

History

The hardware that inspired DRM-60 was first introduced in the late 1980s and became a staple in both tracking and mastering studios. Known for its lush tube tone and all-in-one versatility, it was often used on drums, vocals, and mix buses. We carefully recreated every stage—from its preamp transformers to the tube compressor section—resulting in one of the richest-sounding hybrid processors in the Antelope Audio library.
